On a quiet treelined street only blocks from the New Mexico Museum of Art and historic Santa Fe Plaza, two Pueblo Revival-style buildings house and honor the work of an American icon, Georgia O'Keeffe.
The only museum in the world dedicated to an internationally known American woman artist, it is also the largest single collection of the artist’s work on the planet. In addition, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Research Center is the only museum-related research facility dedicated to the study of American Modernism.
Inlaid bronze plaques on the sidewalk in front of the museum depict famous creative residents of Santa Fe throughout history.
Photos were forbidden at the museum. More to come at a later date.
